Clanfield Junior School visit

  All news

This Friday, Race Director Ken Finlay visited Clanfield Junior School to talk to them about the Clanfield Challenge at their morning assembly.

Much to Ken's delight, it was "Bad Hair Day" and he was incredibly impressed to see the weird, wonderful, wacky hair of all shapes, styles and colours which were being sported by both students and staff!

There were 290 children present as Ken talked through the aims of the Clanfield Challenge. At the beginning of the assembly, via a show of hands, he asked how many children had taken part or had heard of the the Clanfield Challenge. A show of roughly 30 hands went up.

After presenting to the children, talking about the races the kids could take part in, why the Clanfield Challenge is good for the community, why it's a great event for the entire family and why it's great for your health, he took some questions.

The question on the all the children's minds was what would be included in the goody bag! :-)

After the presentation was complete, and again from a show of hands, Ken asked how many of the children would like to take part. Over 50% of the hands shot up!

Well... we can't wait to see you all in May!
