All runners are asked to congregate near the start 10 minutes before each race start time. The 5k runners will be held at the back of the 12k start pack. WARNING – Please give yourself adequate time to walk from the parking area or Race HQ (about 10 min) to the start line. North Lane will be closed to traffic. As you approach the split point for the two events we will ask runners of the 12km to keep to the left and the 5km runners to the right and follow race directions. PLEASE USE BINS PROVIDED FOR ANY PRE RACE RUBBISH.

RACE NUMBERS -Your race number must be pinned to the FRONT of your vest or T-shirt, and the reverse of your number filed in with the appropriate information in the case of emergency.

SPECTATORS - The best places to watch the race is at the finish within the South Lane road and the meadow grounds. However there is also excellent viewing throughout course along the South Downs Way , Sustainability Centre and on Hambledon Road.
For safety's sake - keep off the road, follow the instructions of the marshals, and do not obstruct the runners or race officials. Please give every runner your warm support.

WATER STATION - Water will be available at a water station along the South Downs Way at the Sustainability Centre.

TOILETS - Portable toilets are available onsite at South Lane meadow. Limited facilities are available in Clanfield Memorial Hall. There are public toilets at the Rising Sun pub in North Lane close to the start.

FINISH - Chip timing is being used for the 12k and 5k runs. Clock timing will be used for the 2k and 1k runs. You need to ensure that you cross the finish line as directed to ensure your time is recorded. There is a water station after the finish.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE - First Aid posts are situated at South Lane Meadow and the finish area.

AUDIO HEADSETS – We ask that runners do NOT wear/use headphones on both the 12km & 5km runs. Due to several road crossings you will need to be aware of marshals instruction at all times. In 2016 we had one runner using headphones run in the wrong direction and they were unable to hear marshals trying to get their attention.

IF YOU EXPERIENCE DIFFICULTY - STOP RUNNING AND SEEK OUT THE NEAREST MARSHAL AND REQUEST HELP. A vehicle will be available to pick up entrants who are unable to complete the course and will return them to the start/finish area. If you do drop out it is important you assist us by reporting your name and race number to one of our marshals.

AWARDS PRESENTATION - will be held in the South Lane meadow TBC at 12.30pm.

RESULTS - Provisional results for the 12k and 5k will be available (via your race timing chips) on the day and all results will be uploaded to the website and social media within 24 hours of the event.

CONTACT DETAILS – for urgent issues on the day please call the race director – contact details can be found on the main contact details page of the website.
