Advance Soft Tissue & Remedial Massage (AdvanceSRM) is proud to be working with Clanfield Online, Clanfield Joggers, Serenity Digital an even bigger and better 'Clanfield Challenge'. In preparation for this event, I wanted to ask you all an important question -

Whether you are experiencing 'NO PAIN', the 'OMG IT HURTS' or even the 'SHOOT ME' level of pain on the lego pain scale above and are going to be enjoy the glorious countryside surrounding Clanfield with us at the event this year, preparing your feet appropriately is going to pay dividends on the day. With that in mind AdvanceSRM, is pleased to share a video demonstrating simple remedial exercises that can help overcome or, even better, avoid agonising pain in the foot while preparing for The Clanfield Challenge!

Why is giving your feet the TLC they dearly deserve so important?

Over the past couple of years working in the field of physical therapy it has baffled me at the AdvanceSRM clinic how little attention clients actually pay when it comes to the health of their feet. I am always astounded by how much money a client will invest in physical training to improve their general wellbeing and for no fault of their own have spent very little time developing the muscle tone and strength of their feet. You see, the feet are the foundation of the body, and how the feet work affects the rest of the body. Just like the foolish man in the famous parable of the foolish and wise builder, if we insist on building our house on a foundation of sand it will only be a matter of time before the effort we put into building something important will can come to nothing. So before you spend your time, effort and money on a physically stronger for this year's event and make sure that the feet are healthy and are capable of carrying you to your full potential by performing the remedial exercises demonstrated this video!

About the race

The Clanfield Challenge is made up of 5 individual race routes - a 20 kilometre, 12 kilometre, 5 kilometre, 2 kilometre and 1 kilometre race. All are based in Clanfield, Hampshire and the money generated by the races are to be used to fund local community projects in and around the Clanfield area. So, read on, sign up and support your local community!
